The “Lush Life” 40th Anniversary Ruby Gala took place at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, recreating some of the glamour of the Big Band era, with 300 people attending.

Caroline Clarke was the evening’s emcee. The Ed Laub Quartet with special guest star Gene Bertoncini performed a tribute to American composer Billy Strayhorn. The Rhythm Stompers dance troupe gave a swing dance performance.

“The Lush Life Gala was our biggest fundraiser ever,” said NRCA President Theresa Kump Leghorn, and “it allowed us to honor some truly outstanding arts leaders in our community”.
